The promotion of the culture of safeguarding within the Church involves the leadership of the Church. Formation and training continues across four regions, with Commission members and expert personnel putting into practice the Holy Father's mandate of assisting and building local safeguarding capacity. September highlights also include the Commission Secretary's address to bishop delegates and safeguarding leads from 22 Latin American churches in a meeting hosted by CELAM in Bogotá, Colombia, and the Commission's welcome for the call to transparency and accountability contained in the Instrumentum laboris of the forthcoming Synod.
