ACCOMPANIMENT
In addition to reporting, the Memorare Initiative will allow local churches to enable those who have been impacted by sexual abuse share the trauma of their experience with a proactive listening expert and to be channeled to specific pastoral and professional services to facilitate, as far as possible, their journey of recovery and healing. These include medical, psychotherapeutic and legal assistance offered in an attentive and appropriate space, defined by the following values:

Consideration for the unique and personal response of each individual to sexual abuse.

Recognition and and appreciation for the testimony that is given.

To create a safe and reliable environment.

Active listening: attentive, conscious and empathetic.
