Juiz aposentado<\/span><\/p>\n

Ex juiz s\u00eanior do Tribunal de Apela\u00e7\u00e3o da Suprema Corte da Austr\u00e1lia Ocidental, ele presidiu o Truth Justice and Healing Council criado pela Igreja Cat\u00f3lica Australiana a fim de responder \u00e0 crise de abuso sexual institucional. Ele tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 membro do Professional Standards Resources Group para a Arquidiocese de Perth.<\/strong><\/p>\n

O Juiz Owen tem uma longa e distinta carreira de 40 anos como juiz e advogado. Ele tem trabalhado de perto com muitas institui\u00e7\u00f5es de caridade e \u00f3rg\u00e3os educacionais que aconselham sobre governan\u00e7a e iniciativas de reforma.<\/span><\/p>\n

De 1991 a 2010, ele foi juiz da Suprema Corte da Austr\u00e1lia Ocidental e, a partir de 2005, membro inaugural da Corte de Apela\u00e7\u00e3o ap\u00f3s sua cria\u00e7\u00e3o como uma divis\u00e3o separada da Suprema Corte.<\/span>
<\/span>Em abril de 2003, ele completou os dois anos da Royal Commission no colapso do grupo de seguros HIH.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ele \u00e9 professor adjunto de direito e professor visitante de direito tanto na Universidade da Austr\u00e1lia Ocidental quanto na Universidade de Notre Dame Australia (UNDA).<\/span><\/p>\n

Membro do conselho de diretores da UNDA quase desde sua cria\u00e7\u00e3o e com um mandato como chanceler da universidade. Ele permanece em seu conselho de administra\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tamb\u00e9m ativamente envolvido no setor educacional com ampla experi\u00eancia na governan\u00e7a de escolas e na promo\u00e7\u00e3o de pol\u00edticas contra abuso atrav\u00e9s da educa\u00e7\u00e3o e forma\u00e7\u00e3o permanente.<\/span><\/p>\n
