Laurent Delvolvé is a lawyer at the Paris Bar with nearly three decades of experience in civil, criminal, and canon law, with a particular focus on safeguarding within the Church. He has served as legal advisor to the French Bishops’ Conference and to several dioceses, including the Archdiocese of Paris, supporting the development and implementation of policies and structures for the prevention and management of abuse of minors and vulnerable persons.

He has contributed to the creation of governance frameworks, victim support mechanisms, and reporting protocols, while fostering cooperation between ecclesial institutions and public prosecutors. His work includes training Church leaders on safeguarding procedures and advising on the interaction between canon law and national legal systems.

Me Delvolvé has also played a role in establishing national reparation mechanisms in France. He regularly represents ecclesial institutions in complex legal proceedings and contributes to discussions on safeguarding at the European level.

He holds advanced degrees in public and private law from the Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas and Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, and is admitted to practice law in France. His work is guided by a commitment to justice, transparency, and the protection of the most vulnerable.
